Starting on a slightly deeper trance tip than the norm, we’ve got a couple of tunes by chaps who’s names need a little bit more accessibility. I’ve decided to call them Johnny & Billy (ft. Prime). Darker times arrive with Vinid and the bloody sexy Vadney mix of “Confess”, with more 8bit screeches than a Famicon Disk System throat-fucked by Mr Game & Watch. Andrew Rayel’s delivers his monthly remix to feature in TIU and an anthem from last year is revisited in “Drowning” by DJ Eco. Imperfect Hope & Sebastian Brandt deliver the two emotional sack-destroyers of the month for me, awesomely epic uplifting sounds! Classics from AMR, My Door Is No. 648 and Ralph Fridge surround a flurry of new rib-ticklers, highlight in particular being O’Callaghan’s remix of “Concrete Angel”, vocals by Christina Novelli sounding seriously cool & old-school on that. 2011′s final Trancing It Up sees the usual template mastered in 2008 again thrown to one side. Do we want the same pattern each time? Do we fuck. By the time the intro finishes, I want to see damp crotches and soggy socks being removed here, there & everywhere. There’s some fucking tonkers in this mix, some proper train-derailers, starting with one part of Shogun’s latest EP, “Lotus / Space Odyssey”, surprisingly titled, “Lotus” and like the genus that includes bird’s-foot trefoils and deervetches, it’s a track that features many beautiful (aural) creatures and appears to a wide habitat, namely dreamers, tweakers and chicken heads.

Also unwrapped fresh like an £2 deluxe Iceland turkey crown is “Xantic”, perhaps my favourite vocal track of the year lovingly released before I carve that aforementioned frosty hind. Jwaydan provides an excellent voice and overall the tune orbits my ballbag like a hovering streams device of love, perhaps due to producer Bjorn Akesson’s well-known obsession with satellite communications.

Finally, amongst all the other gush catalysts on show like DJ Ammotastic & Breakfast’s latest tracks, big-time Japanese forklift operator Tomonari Nagaoka provided me recently with an absolute monster, “CODE:CUBE X”, a track written during his time at New Yokosuka Harbour District. Special items were given secretive codewords and only one employee was trusted with the packages for the Harbour Lounge – Tomonari.

Nhato is the jewel of the techy, bleepy crown that is the first hour of the mix, followed by some outrageously euphoric AND balearic anthems to mark the end of summer.
